The Plum Tomato opened in Colchester and Salem, CT in 2000. Owners Brian and Cindy Thomas had a passion for the pizza business and wanted to bring wood-fired brick oven pizza to these communities. It didn’t take long for our customers to become hopelessly addicted to the delicious pizzas and Brickini sandwiches. The Sammy the Bull was famous and people were flocking from far away to have one!
The Plum Tomato strives to serve our customers food that is of the highest quality. All of our dishes are made in house from scratch and we pride ourselves in staying true to that. We also strive to cater to all dietary needs so that everyone has something to enjoy!
Customer service is also a key element to our business; our goal is to be prompt, friendly, and courteous, and if our customers are dissatisfied for some reason, we do our very best to resolve the situation. We want you to leave happy, full, and 100% satisfied!
Lastly, our communities are very important to us and we do our very best to stay active and involved. We are always willing to help out in some way, whether it’s hosting an end of season luncheon for the Bacon Academy basketball team or providing pizzas for the Colchester Half Marathon. We truly love the communities that we’re in and enjoy seeing the familiar faces that walk through the door.
